GM truck and SUV rear axle instead of GM truck and SUV rear axle

American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) announced the launch of parts for the 2014 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pick-up trucks, as well as the Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade SUVs.
Beginning with the 2014 model year production, the engine and axle size combinations are:
- 8.60" used with 1500 Series 4.3L V6 Pickup (Carry Over)
- 9.50" used with 1500 Series 5.3L V8 Pickup and Utility (**High Volume)
- 9.76" used with 1500 Series 6.2L V8 Pickup and Utility
The 9.5" and 9.76" axles can be identified by the 12 bolt cover.
