AAM Announces New Ring and Pinion Gear Sets for 2014 and Newer RAM 2500 and 3500 Trucks

American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) announced the launch of new ring and pinion gear set kits that fit the 11.5" rear axles for the 2014 and newer RAM 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks.
The new ring and pinion gear set kit part numbers are located below. Because these new pinion gears have metric threads, the pinion nut, collapsible spacer and pinion seal will also be packed with the gear sets.
Ring gear bolts are the same as previous years and must be purchased separately - #40022812
- D115342GSK-1 3.42 ratio ring & pinion gear kit
- D115373GSK-1 3.73 ratio ring & pinion gear kit
- D115410GSK-1 4.10 ratio ring & pinion gear kit
The new part number sequence designates the "D" is for Dodge. The "115" is for the 11.5" ring gear. The "342" denotes the ratio.
The GSK indicates this is a Gear Set Kit. The kit means it contains the pinion nut, spacer and pinion seal as well the ring and pinion gear. The "-1" designation means it is a revision from previous gear sets and covers the 2013.5 and newer truck model years.

The same 11.5 helical gear design Limited Slip differential case is used in the new rear axle: Part # 40099548.
