AAM Announces Enhancements to Axle Installation Kit Program

American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM) has announced enhancements to the axle installation kit program.
The following axle installation assembly kits will be reinstated. These are wheel end kits for the 11.5” rear axle in both single wheel and dual rear wheel configurations. These wheel end kits include inner and outer wheel bearings, hub seals, hub gaskets, hub nuts, retaining rings, hub nut lock and hex bolts. The kits are as follows:
- 74070001 - 2001-2010 Single Wheel GM
- 74070002 - 2001-2010 Dual Wheel GM
- 74070003 - 2011 – current Single Wheel GM
- 74070004 - 2011 – current Dual Wheel GM
- 74070005 - 2003 – current Single Wheel RAM
- 74070006 - 2003 – current Dual Wheel RAM
AAM also introduced a new 8.6” axle wheel end kit. This kit is made up of the wheel end bearing, seal and c-clips of one axle shaft.
